HASTINGS, Vera Joan (née Hollinshead)… Passed away peacefully with her niece Pat Hollingsworth by her side at Moira Place Long Term Care, Tweed on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late George Hastings for 28 beautiful years. Loving daughter of the late John Edward & Nellie Hollinshead (née Green). Her parents were blessed with 9 children, Vera being the last child to be reunited with her siblings Stan, Ernie, Dorothy, Annie, Cliff, Sid, Len, Fred & their spouses. She will also be reunited with her 4 fur babies that she loved dearly. Vera will be truly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Moira Place for all their care, love and support. Keeping with Vera’s wishes, she will be laid to rest and reunited with her husband George in Carrying Place. Arrangements are entrusted with WEAVER Life Centre – East Chapel, 29 Bay St. Trenton. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Quinte Humane Society.
