ALLEN (nee Robson), Shelley Lou
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shelley Lou Allen (nee Robson) on Monday March 24, 2025, surrounded by her family at the Belleville General Hospital at the age of 66.
Shelley was a beloved daughter of the late John and Patricia Robson. A loving partner to the late Wayne Generaux. Cherished mother of Mia (Maria) & Jeff Nelles and David Allen. An overly proud grandmother to Hillary, Paige and Gavin McQuaid.
She is survived by her loving siblings Susan & Bob Prudhomme, Sandra & Donald Shaw, Lori & the late Dave Wickens, John and Kelly Robson and Jeff & Lisa (Cliche) Robson. Shelley was loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Shelley was always content to be wherever she was. She always showed up with a smile, an eagerness to work hard and willingness to help everyone she knew. Her quick wit made for brighter days and will be missed by her many friends and former colleagues at McIntosh Brothers, Interface Flooring and the Quinte Mall.
The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home 30 Moira St W, Belleville on Saturday April 5th from 10am-12pm. A service in the chapel will follow at 12pm.
We wish to thank the amazing team at both HJ McFarland and Belmont long term care facilities, who dutifully cared for our Mom over the past few years. We also thank Dr. McCreary, and the incredible nurses in the emergency department at Belleville General Hospital, who helped make our last day with our Mom as comfortable as they could.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
