Richard Vincent Lynch
May 20, 1963 – September 15, 2024.
You may know him as Savv, Rick, Dicker or Riicckkee.
He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Blue Jay’s, Green Bay Packers and Lotto 649.
You could find Rick at a local arena, watching TSN, or at the local convenience store playing the same lotto numbers that he played faithfully for years. Otherwise you could find him on his phone making it a point to stay connected with his large network of friends.
His friends and colleagues use the following words to describe him. A true friend, one of the good guys, a bright light, kind, wicked sense of humor, a great guy, one of the best!
Rick was a proud employee of P&G for 30 plus years where he made many life long friends. It was heart warming to see P&G lower the flag in Rick’s honour on September 16th.
Rick’s true passion in life were his children Noah Lynch and Jillian Lynch. They were his pride and joy. He lived his life for them and loved sharing their adventures, along with his loyal companion Max.
Rick was surrounded by so much love in his life. He will be sadly missed by his sisters (The Fab 5) Shirley LaJoie (Francis), Sheila Thomas (Calvin), Laurie Freeman, Mary Joan Brinson (Mark), Michelle Saville (Mark). Pre deceased by his parents Vince Lynch, Noreen Lynch (Rivers) and his brother Danny Lynch. Family was so important to Rick.
When reading many condolences Rick was described as a Legend. The dictionary provides the following description. A Legend – “someone who leaves an unforgettable impression on others”. If you know Rick you know this to be more than fitting. Also if you knew Rick, I am very confident that he had a nickname for you. It was his term of endearment.
Rick will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, his aunts and uncles who he loved dearly and had a very close connection. He will also be missed by an immense number of lifelong friends that meant the world to him.
Your time with us was too short however the impact that you had will never be forgotten.
