Pierce, Leonard Lee – born May 22, 1942, passed away on December 31, 2024 at the age of 82 with the love of his life Betty, by his side. Predeceased by father Jack, mother Norma, sister Judy, brothers John and Derek and many of his beloved furry and feathered family members. Lee leaves behind daughter Kim, sisters Sharon and Leslie (Bob) and brothers Tony and Guy (Margo) and many nieces and nephews. Lee had an amazing career spanning 40 years at the Trent Valley Mill in Glen Miller, Ontario. He volunteered his time to Trenton Hockey and held a distinctive role on the Board of Directors with Trenton Memorial Hospital and served as Governor with Loyalist College from 1992-1998. Lee was an avid tennis and squash player for many years and had an immense love for all animals, welcoming many to his farm. We will always cherish memories of his farm from him being bucked off of the real boss of the farm, the family horse Trigger, to hearing the notice on the radio for his lost pig Jake who ventured his way down to the neighbour’s farm. Our country roads will not be the same without seeing him walking his rottweiler. His family would like to acknowledge the amazing care that the BSTU staff at BGH provided Lee, especially setting him up with some of his favourite rock songs in his final hours. Cremation arrangements have been made under the direction of Weaver Funeral Home. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date. Online guest book, memories and condolences may be shared at www.weaverfuneralhomes.com
