Sadly on Monday September 5, 2022, Janet “Van” Van Volkenburg (Parkinson) passed away peacefully in her 80th year at Quinte Gardens. “Van” dedicated 47 years to Quinte Health Care (BGH) as a highly respected Registered Nurse. Daughter of the late George and Dorothy Parkinson (nee Wettlaufer) and sister of Jim Parkinson (Linda). Loving mother of Dawn Rogers (Jim), Heather Van Volkenburg (David Gunning) and Denise Barker (Mike). Proud grandma of Shaunna Wilkinson (Kyle), Shelden Rogers (Audrey), Shaemas Rogers (Bridget), Bobbi Gunning, Brady Gunning (Jenna), Dylan Barker (Cait), Mikayla Barker and Josh Barker. Cherished “GG” to Clark, Nolan, Owyn and Mya. Loving sister-in law to Roseanne, Connie, Dale and “Little” Janet, Elton and Debbie and also loved by many nieces and nephews. There will be a public visitation at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) On Friday, September 9th, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following the visitation at 3:00 pm. A private Interment will be at a later date.
