James Edgar Tucker … passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 in his 90th year. Loving husband of the late Mary Violet Tucker (nee Knox). Proud father of Donna Quackenbush and Donald Tucker (Kelly). Proud grandpa of Benjamin, David, Ryan (Lindsay), Hailey (Jason), Lori (Joe), Ashley (Chris). A great-grandpa of Austin Tucker, Noah Tucker, Allie Tucker, Carter Sager, Kennedy Sager, Linden Sager, Mackinley Sager, Phoebe Quackenbush and a great-great grandpa to Elijah and Iris. Survived by his sisters Dorothy Henderson (Len) and Peggy Pike (Bert). James will also be missed by his loving companion Dianne Norton.
James discovered his passion for water skiing, dedicating countless hours to honing his skills. His competitive spirit shone brightly as he participated in numerous competitions, where he not only showcased his talent but also inspired others with his enthusiasm and determination. In addition to water skiing, James had a lust for boat racing and performance boating. His love for speed and precision on the water led him to become a respected competitor in the boating community.
In keeping with James wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #238, 23 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1-4 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre would be appreciated on behalf of the family.
