Struivig de Groot, Heero….passed away at his home on Tuesday January 14th, 2025 at the age of 77 years. Beloved son of the late Hero and Breg Struivig de Groot. Cherished brother of Mieke Allan and her late husband Bob and Jan and his wife Ruth. Heero will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Sam, Nick, Becky and Emma, his extended family in The Netherlands, and his friends and caregivers at Mitchell House. Heero’s life was an inspiration and his challenges touched the lives of many. The Harrow de Groot School was opened in his name to support other children and families with similar disabilities. If desired, donations to Community Living Belleville and Area would be appreciated by the family. Cremation will take place and a private graveside service will be held in the springtime at Carrying Place Annex Cemetery.
