Georgette Letizia Green (Scuccato)

Born 6 November, 1940 in Castelnaudary, France and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 11 July, 2024 at Hospice Quinte. Georgette married Rodney Green in 1961 and was the loving mother of Kelly Green (George Moase) and Patricia Colby (Ian); grandmother to Jason Copeland (Billie-Jean Plant), Katelyn Copeland, Erin Colby (Chad Laforty) and Sean Colby (Hannah); great grandmother to one great grandson and her great granddaughter Eloise. Georgette was predeceased by her parents Sylvia Meneghel and Guiseppe Scuccato, brother Joey and sister Lindy, survived and especially loved by her brother Johnny.

Georgette lived in Bellegarde-du-Razes, when the family chose to move to Canada. They departed from Le Havre, France on the Europa on 25 June 1951, arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax on 6 July 1951. The family was settled in Campbellford, where Georgette quickly adapted to the Canadian lifestyle and customs, before settling on Trenton. Georgette enjoyed walking, traveling, gardening, crafting, being a member of church choirs and volunteering in her community and most of all being with her children and holidaying with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held at WEAVER – West, 170 Dundas St. West, Trenton on Saturday, July 20th from 12:30 to 1:30 PM with the funeral service following at 1:30 PM.
