It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of the beloved wife and mother, Gail Maxine Hurst, 62 of Batawa, ON, on March 30, 2025.
Gail was born on April 28, 1962 in Grand Bank, Newfoundland. Her greatest joys and ‘happy place’ was spending time down Famine, Newfoundland at her family cabin, sitting by the ocean, while listening to the waves and sipping on a hot cup of tea.
Gail was predeceased by her father, Clyde and her father-in-law, Gary. She is survived by her husband, Terry, daughter, Lacey (Don), son, Tyler (family), mother, Maud, brothers, Glenn (Beverly) and Kevin (Jackie), In Laws, Ethel. Gail also leaves behind brokenhearted, a supportive group of relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Gail was a kind hearted soul, who did anything and everything she could for others. Especially for her children and grandsons.
She was a courageous, inspirational, loving, full of joy woman and always put others before herself. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her husband, Terry, the gift of being a mom to Lacey and Tyler, her fur baby, Thule and especially being a nanny to Maddox, Barrett and her other grandchildren.
A celebration of life in Gail’s honour will be held at 413 Wing, 230 N Murray St Trenton April 5, 2025 from 2- 4pm.
Gail was very passionate about rescuing dogs and helping dogs in need on the Snowdogs of Newfoundland and Labrador group. Donations in her memory may be made to the Snowdogs of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc (Canada) by sending an email transfer to nlsnowdogs@gmail.com
