REID, F. Joseph “Joe” (WWII Veteran)…passed away peacefully at his home in his sleep on Wednesday December 25th, 2024 at the age of 104. He is predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Phyllis Reid (nee LaMorre). Proud father of Randy & his wife Susan, Ron & his wife Pat, Frederick “Rick” & his wife Sylvie and Rose Marie Reid & her partner Jim Reid. Dear grandfather of Jody (Kellie), Jason, Jamie (Anna), Jenna (Alessandro) Matthew (Angeline), Jessica (Andy), Scott (Sonia), Stacey, Kelly (Jeremy), the late Candy and great grandfather and great great grandfather to many grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his step grandchildren Jamie, Brian, Trish and the late Blair and his many step great grandchildren. Joe is predeceased by all of his siblings and will be fondly remembered by his sister in law Ethel LaMorre and his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Weaver – West, 170 Dundas St. West, Trenton on Thursday January 16th, 2025 from 5 – 8 pm, with a Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Service taking place at 4:45pm. Funeral service will be held at the West Chapel on Friday January 17th, 2025 at 11am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion – Consecon #509 Poppy Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
