MALCOLM-DESCHESNES, Christopher Dalton Paul – passed away peacefully on his own terms at QH-Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024, at the age of 32. Beloved son of Nancy Deschesnes (Rob Marrisett) and Merle Malcolm. Loving brother of Ashley (Eric), Emilie (Mikey), Jamie, Jordan, Quinn and Kaleb, and step-brother to Brady (Jessica), and Brandi. Cherished grandson of Ann Deschesnes (late Paul), Ray and Carol Marrisett, and the late Helen Malcolm (late Dalton). Christopher will be missed dearly by all of his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Christopher was an avid gamer and in his last years this was his only link to the outside world. We are thankful for his online friends. He also loved to cook and experiment with recipes he would make for his mom. Before his diabetes took hold, he loved the beach, for both swimming and making sandcastles. Christopher also had a passion for all things Batman, Pokémon, and Star Wars. He kept his grandfather close by cheering for the Habs.
Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273), on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Christopher’s Life will be held at a later date (location/day/time to be determined). If desired, donations in memory of Christopher may be made to Diabetes Canada.
