Catherine Genereaux

Genereaux, Catherine… Passed away with her daughters by her side at Hospice Quinte on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the age of 83. Beloved wife to Doug Genereaux for 62 years, and loving mother to Lori Smith (late Brian) and Brenda Jordan (Tim). Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her heart and soul. Proud Grandma to Holly James, Melanie Barrett (Michael), Arthur Lewis (Jennifer) and Kate Durkin (James). Young & Beautiful Grama to Lakelin and Tallon; Nana to Ella and Noah, and G.G. to Lorelei, Aubree and Felicity.

She was born and raised in Trenton with her 14 brothers and sisters: Marjorie Broe (late George), Marguerite Genereaux (Gary) and Gary Foshay (Carol). Predeceased by Charles Foshay, Howard Foshay, Mildred Palmer, Shirley Edwards, Sonny Foshay, Beatrice Jones, Raymond (surviving wife Elaine) Foshay, Marilyn Videto, Evelyn Thompson, Alice Foshay and Bradley Foshay.

Catherine enjoyed a beautiful life full of love and filled with family. She travelled extensively with lifelong friends making memories and taking photos to share and cherish. She enjoyed raising her family and hosting friends at her humble home who gathered often for a meal, or a swim, or a beverage in the driveway. She was loved by many and had a heart of gold.

In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, cremation and a private family mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church where she was married and a dedicated parishioner.
