We celebrate the life of John Alan McPherson who passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6th, 2019 in his 81st year. His strong faith in Jesus Christ led him to live and die with grace within the assurance of God’s love. Dedicated to his faith and family, Al lived a humble and loving life including 56 years with his wife, Edith. He raised and mentored two godly sons, Ian and Jeffrey, welcomed into the family his daughters-in-law Karen and Michelle, and then continued to share his legacy of love and faith with his granddaughters: Olivia, Abigail, Sophie, and Amaris. Al is predeceased by his brother Paul and survived by his sister-in-law Jean and his nephews Bruce and David. Throughout his blessed life, Al demonstrated the virtues of honesty, compassion, faithfulness, and generosity. He loved to laugh and visit with friends, playing games and telling stories; but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. We will miss his quiet, gentle, and loving soul. We are very grateful to the whole community that cared for him in his final years. Memorial visitation will be held at Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Friday, September 20th, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm. A celebration of Al’s life will be held at the Brighton Fellowship Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at 1:00 pm, with reception to follow.
