Motorists on Old Highway Two west of Trenton will be driving over a brand new bridge in just a matter of weeks.
Quinte West Public Works Director Chris Angelo says the project, known as the Smithfield overpass, is right on schedule for a mid-May opening.
He says the road will be shut down and detours set up for about a week just before the bridge opens because of some last minute work tying the road to the bridge approaches. ACON Construction is doing the job for just under ten-million dollars.
