It came in as a shooting incident in east-end Belleville, but didn’t turn out to be quite that serious.
Police were told by ambulance dispatch last evening a man had been shot in an apartment, and officers immediately detained several people. They determined there had been an altercation, but no weapon was involved. A 34 year old Belleville man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
