Thirty-four employees are now on the sunshine club in Belleville. Retired CAO Steve Hyndman tops the list for 2009 with a salary of more than 151-thousand dollars. Director of Engineering and Development Rick Kester is next at 133-thousand followed by Brad Wilson…the city’s Director of Environmental Services. There are 14-members of the city police service….and 12-members of the fire department earning more than 100-thousand dollars.
The highest paid employee in Quinte West in 2009 was a firefighter. There were 18 employees on the so-called sunshine list with 13 of them coming from the fire department….Jim Fetter earned the most….147-thousand dollars.
Meanwhile, the 13 member council cost over 292 thousand dollars, including salary, travel, and seminar expenses.
