There will more than likely by no military-related trial in the Colonel Russ Williams case.
The 46 year old Former wing commander at C-F-B Trenton is already the subject of a military administrative review after his arrest for murder and sexual assault on February 7th.
According to the Military… The National Defense Act prohibits the Canadian Forces from trying anyone charged with murder or manslaughter… unless it happens outside the country.
Williams… who has already been relieved of command at 8-wing… would most likely receive a dishonorable release from the military if found guilty… however an acquittal could see him return to a command role… though unlikely at C-F-B Trenton.
