No need to stand out in the weather to watch this construction site. Belleville residents will soon be able to follow construction of the new multi-million dolalr multi-plex recreation facility from the comfort of their own home. Director of Recreation Mark Fluhrer says the main excavation began yesterday and it will soon all be online for viewing. Cameras have been installed on the Quinte Sports Centre roof to record the construction. Also, City Council met in special session yesterday, awarding a stormwater sewer contract to Mulrooney Trucking in the amount of 224-thousand dollars. It will divert stormwater from the multiplex site to the McFarland Drive retention pond.
