Brighton taxes will be going up….and, the increase in the 2010 budget is just over 3-percent this year. Mayor Chris Herrington says council unanimously passed the document last night. On an average home assessed at 234-thousand dollars….the increase is 85-dollars. Herrington says provincial uploading of social services softened the blow on the Northumberland County portion of their budget.
