A Northumberland O-P-P officer, who saved a man’s life, has been presented the Commissioner’s commendation for bravery.
Constable Anthony Voskamp, based in Brighton, was presented the award by detachment Commander, Inspector Doug Borton yesterday.
Voskamp performed C-P-R on a man who had suffered a heart attack and had no vital signs while Voskamp was working at the Chapleau detachment in Northern Ontario in October, 2008. The man was resuscitated and is alive today because of the officer’s quick actions.
