No need to get “Gung Ho” about hunting coyotes in Prince Edward County yet. At last nights public discussion reguarding coyotes many concerns were raised about the use of a bounty. A man from the Barrie area…wishing to remain unnamed…says he is willing to offer free trapping services to prove a bounty is not needed in the region. Elgie Curie from Brighton doesn’t believe him… Curie doesn’t think trapping the coyotes is going to do anything. It is now up to council to decide what they are going to do.. A by law is in the works and should be ready for council in a few weeks.. but Gary Davis.. Chief of Building By Laws in PEC says he can’t release any information at this time other then if the by law is put in place it could happen as early as April.
