It’s on to the next step in the plan to build a 237 cottage resort on East Lake in Prince Edward County. At a pre-hearing, at Shire Hall yesterday, it was decided the Cottage Advisors plan will be the subject of a nearly three week Ontario Municipal Board Hearing. A number of residents in the area argue County Council’s decision to approve the large project will alter their rural lifestyle. Commissioner of Planning Gerry Murphy says the hearing will begin in mid-June.
