Quinte Health Care is no longer in the red. At last nights QHC Board meeting the Local Health Integration Network provided nearly 5 million dollars in funding….essentially wiping out a projected deficit of 3.6 million dollars. Now they have the confidence moving forward knowing they are a ease with a surplus. Outgoing QHC Supervisor Graham Scott says not only did QHC eliminate their deficit they also increased patient care and quality. The new LHIN funding consists of a one time one million three hundred and forty thousand dollar payment and an annual amount of 3.5 million dollars.
