The Ontario Provincial Police are cracking down on drinking and driving in the Trenton-area by keeping a closer eye on bars and taverns. Quinte West OPP checked the Sherwood Forest Inn and Celtic Pub, after 11 o’clock last night, checking for overserving, public intoxication and underage drinking. One man was removed from a bar and given a taxi ride home but no charges were laid. OPP are calling it a proactive measure to ensure people don’t take the risk of drinking and driving.
