The city of Quinte West wants to get into the business of attracting new business.
The economic development committee is recommending council approve spending over 15 thousand dollars for a consultants recommendations on exactly how to attract new business to the city.
Previous studies have shown what businesses are needed in Quinte West…examples being ladies clothing shops….and shoe stores……..and it’s hoped the consultant’s report will map out practical strategies to bring new commercial enterprises in to town.
Mayor John Williams stressed that the report had better be a plan for action, and not just another report sitting on a shelf,…collecting dust…
