Education Minister Leona Dombrowsky has brought all-day learning for Ontario’s 4-and 5-year-olds a step closer to reality.
She introduced legislation enacting full-day early learning at Queen’s Park yesterday.
The 1.5-billion-dollar extended day program pairs early-childhood educators with teachers in the classroom. She says the early-childhood educators will start before regular school hours and begin the program until the teacher arrives for the school day, and children can continue with early-childhood education, once the school day is over, until six o’clock in the evening.
