Bergeron’s Exotic Animal Sanctuary near Picton is closing to the public.
Pat Bergeron says many of the animals she and her late husband Joe have cared for for over two decades have been placed elsewhere, and only a small number remains at the facility.
She says it was too difficult for her to care for over one-hundred animals, raning from lions and tigers to chickens and goats, and she couldn’t afford to hire anyone to help her.
Bergerons had operated for 23 years.
