It remains unclear whether or not a person went through the ice on the Bay of Quinte.
Prince Edward OPP received a call last night (SAT) about a possible snowmobiler through the ice near the Bay Bridge.
The report came from two witnesses who claimed to have seen an apparent snow machine in distress and then the machine’s light disappearing beneath the ice.
Emergency crews responding to the scene inlcluded a helicopter from CFB Trenton’s Joint Rescue Control Centre.
Officials called off their search last night after they failed to find anything in nearly three hours of looking.
