The relatives of former C-F-B Trenton base Commander Colonel Russ Williams have spoken about how they were estranged from him.
The Ottawa Citizen reports brother Harvey Williams as saying their relationship was broken off in early 2001 when their mother and stepfather divorced. Their mother and Harvey attempted a reconciliation two years ago, but there has been only minimal contact with him since then.
Harvey says they were shocked and appalled to learn of the crimes Colonel Williams is being charged with, calling it alarming and distressing news.
