Residents paying taxes to Northumberland County will see their taxes go up, but not by that much.
Northumberland County Council has passed their 2010 budget, which totals almost 94 million dollars….just under 2 percent more then last year.
Half of the increase, or about 400 thousand dollars, will go to paying the salaries of 5 new County employees.
Someone who owns a 200 thousand dollar house in Northumberland will see their County taxes go up by just 14 dollars this year.
