The President and Chief Executive Officer at Quinte Healthcare is coming from the GTA. Mary Clare Egberts has 25-years experience in the hospital business…and, was most recently Chief Operating Officer at North York General…a multi-site community teaching hospital. Egberts has also worked as Chief Financial Officer at Toronto East General and Markham-Stouffville Hospital. QHC Board Chair Brian Smith says they are confident that Egberts will provide strong leadership and were impressed by her track-record of developing positive relationships with all stake-holders, leading change and ensuring balanced hospital budgets. Her first day on the job is March 29th. Outgoing President and CEO Bruce Laughton retires April 1st.
