The dedication and helping hands of 17 sports volunteers in Hastings-Prince Edward have been honoured by the province. M-P-P Leona Dombrowsky presented community sports volunteer awards at the Thurlow Recreation Centre yesterday to people who have made a difference in the lives of local athletes. Don Bittle, Lisa Chesher, Darrell Carleton, Paul Cole, Tom Dolan, Jim Dunlop, Tim Eberwein, Laurie Evans and Mo Gunning made up the first group of recipients. The other eight are Lisa Lindsay, Julie Miller, Roland Munkittrick, John Porritt, Todd Postance, Erin Rose, Scott Wentworth and Barry Wilson.
