The mystery continues as to the whereabouts of a missing Belleville woman. The search for 27-year old Jessica Lloyd intensified yesterday as word spread of the circumstances leading to the woman’s disappearance. Police say the last contact anyone had with Jessica was late Thursday night…she was reported missing Friday morning when she failed to show up for work at the Tri-Board Transportation Office. Friends of the young woman say her phone, purse and ID were left at her home in Thurlow. Police conducted a grid search behind Lloyd’s home on Highway-37 north of Harmony Road throughout the afternoon…and, the search is to continue today. Police aren’t commenting on the involvement or whereabouts of a man described as an ex-boyfriend who had become possessive. Thousands of posters with pictures of Jessica have been distributed by hundreds of concerned friends and family members. Lloyd is described as 5’5″ and 125 pounds, with green eyes and dark brown shoulder length hair. She has a tattoo of an intricate “L” that spans the width of her lower back. Police said she may be wearing brown suede boots with white stitching, possibly a sweater and vest. If you have any information contact City Police or Crimestoppers.
