The high water problem in Stirling is slowly improving.
Fire Chief Gene Thompson says sandbags protected a home on North Street that was threatened by rising water caused by the heavy rain this morning, although some water got into the basement. There was also some water in the L-C-B-O outlet in Stirling.
A detour was set up at the Sidney Street overpass in Trenton because of deep water at the site, but it has reopened. Quinte West Public Works Director Chris Angelo says parts of Second Dug Hill, Zion, Hill and Glen Miller Roads were closed this morning because of flooding, and Johnstown Road and Riverside Parkway are open but posted because of water over the pavement.
