A Belleville family is involved in the heart of the chaos in Haiti, but managing to stay safe.
Rhonda Wannamaker says her husband and business partner, Tony, went to Haiti just a few hours after the earthquake hit.
Rhonda says their production company has been contracted to film a three-hour documentary on the disaster in Haiti. Rhonda Murray productions was contracted last fall to be on standby for a global disaster, and to go film it once it happened.
Rhonda says her husband is working as director of photography with a small crew to film the documentary.
She says while her husband has been away for work before, their three daughters have never been as worried for their father as they are now. She says she’s been in close contact with Tony via satellite phone, and that the reception on the phone has been clear except during the earthquake’s brief after-shocks.
