Many members of the late Bob Campney’s family was on hand today as the OPP station in Quinte West was officially named the R.J. Campney Police Services Building. Many paid tribute to the former Mayor of Quinte West as a determined man who made important changes and got things done. Mr. Campney’s daughter, Gayla, said while her Father wanted the OPP to take over from the local police service, he had great respect for the local officers, and staff. Bob Campney was the chair of the Trenton Police Services Board in 1985, when the current police station was built.
