Wiley Coyote might soon notice a change to his environment in Prince Edward County. County Council has voted to present a plan for a bounty on Coyotes and Wolves, and Hybrids to the Ministry of Natural Resources for approval. The predators have grown more numerous, more aggressive, and are often seen operating in packs, killing farm livestock, house pets, and scaring people. To try and make sure animals killed for a bounty are actually from the County, Chief Building Official Garry Davis says they’ll ask that hunters get approval from at least 2 County farmers. The plan is to offer 100 dollars a carcass. The proposal is to put 30 thousand dollars into next year’s budget to cover costs of the bounty.
