Later this month, people in the Quinte Region are expected to join others across the country, rallying against the proroguing of parliament by prime Minister Harper. The word is going out on emails and social networking sites in a bid to organize rallies from Vancouver to St. John’s. Bryan Bondy of Prince Edward County hopes about 50-people will show up in front of the office of Prince Edward Hastings M-P Daryl Kramp. Bondy says there’s only one main reason he’s against the shutting down of parliament. He calls it an “abuse of power” by the Prime Minister. Bondy has asked Kramp to address the January 23-rd rally. Kramp has not yet been available for comment to our newsroom.
