A 21-year old Belleville woman is headed to a Carribean Island for a week…but, she won’t be enjoying the beaches at an all-inclusive resort. Amy Mimms is a Child Care Therapist at Bayfield Home in Consecon and she’s headed to Haiti in April. Mimms says the scope of the “Joy of Hope Campaign” has changed from taking care of children at an orphanage to helping stabilize the Haitian population and assist in reconstructing buildings and at a rural hospital. A dinner fundraiser is set for the Banquet Centre on January 23rd to help pay for Mimms trip to Haiti.
