Another transitional home for the “homeless” will be developed in Belleville’s west end.
The Hastings-Quinte Joint Social Services Commitee has give the green light to give 237-thousand dollars in federal money for a proposal by the “All Together Affordable Housing” group. Director Eric Frye says the plan is to house five or six people in a home, similar to ones operated by the Mental Health Association, offering support services such as counselling. The “Altogether” group will provide operational funding through rent and fundraising.
