Cutting through the roof seems to be the latest way to break into businesses in Quinte West.
The O-P-P say an alarm sounded at a business on Old Highway Two in Sidney at 1-20 this morning, and officers found a hole in the roof. They checked the building, but found nothing stolen.
The discovery came about 24 hours after thieves cut a hole in the roof of a business on Sidney Street in Trenton.
The culprits were frightened off when police arrived, and again, nothing was taken.
