Two major recreational projects in Belleville, totalling nearly two million dollars, have moved closer to construction start. City Council has approved a bylaw for the funding agreement with both senior governments for the Zwicks Island Park pavilion and the M.A. Sills Park improvement project. This means Ottawa and the province will pay two-thirds of the cost, with the city picking up the remaining 595-thousand-758 dollars. The work will get undeway this year.
