Thousands of Loyalist College students and the 23-other Ontario colleges will be watching a vote today as they worry about their school year. Nine-thousand college instructors are voting on whether to give their union a strike mandate. Premier Dalton McGuinty is encouraging both sides to work together to avoid a strike at two dozen community colleges. It’s believed a strike wouldn’t begin until mid February at the earliest.
