Visitor restrictions remain in place at both Trenton Memorial and Belleville General hospitals following an outbreak of a Norwalk-like virus.
Quinte Health Care says a number of patients contracted a gastrointestinal illness consistent with a Norwalk-like virus.
The virus is highly contagious with symptoms including diarrhea, nausea and/or vomiting.
Hospital officials say people visiting on compassionate grounds may be required to wear protective equipment before entering a patient’s room.
