A dramatic picture is being painted by Hydro One crews on the scene north of Tweed.
A Hydro spokesperson says crews making their ways to downed power lines on snow machines and A-T-Vs are finding there’s so much ice on the trees, they’ll sometimes fix a line…only to see another branch break it again.
The electricity distributor says dozens of crews are working in the Denbeigh and Ompah regions to restore power.
It’s been going off and on again for two thousand customers since Saturday night… but it’s estimated that only a quarter of those customers are year-round residents.
Hyrdo says it’s working hardest to restore power to those people first.
