40-thousand flu shots and almost 100 clinics later…the demand for seasonal flu shots has dropped. 27 percent of the population in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties received the flu shot at the H1N1 and seasonal flu clinics and another 5-thousand recieved shots from their family doctor. Health Unit Clinical Services Manager Bill Sherlock says it was a huge undertaking…requiring the hiring of 23-extra nurses, and the help of paramedics. If you’re still interested in getting a flu shot they are available through family physicians and nursing agencies.
