An Ontario Municipal Board hearing into a major commercial development in Brighton is underway.
It started at the Municipal Office this morning, and is expected to continue for three more days.
Craft Developments of Etobicoke, which wants to build a Tim Hortons, a home renovation-type store, a Swiss Chalet or Boston Pizza and other smaller retail and commercial outlets on Elizabeth Street, asked for the hearing a year ago because council hadn’t made a decision by that time..
Brighton Council supports the proposal, but with conditions.
