Two more charges of indecent assault have been laid against a Belleville man, convicted of sexually assaulting little girls while he was a priest in Northern Ontario.
Seventy-seven-year-old Kenneth Gibbs was sentenced last Thursday to three-and-a-half years in prison for molesting the five children in the 1960’s and ’70’s at Anglican churches in Chapleau and Elliott Lake.
Two new charges were laid by the O-P-P yesterday in connection with seperate incidents between 44 and 38 years ago in Chapleau, but police haven’t said if the alleged victims were male or female.
Gibbs will appear for a bail hearing on the new charges in Timmins Court today.
