The first real taste of winter weather this season hits the Quinte region today. Staff Meteorologist Kevin Williams is calling for 3-to-6cm locally with much more snow throughout Central Ontario. The snowbelt from Barrie to Collingwood could get up to 15 centimetres of snow — as could the Bruce Peninsula. Wednesday is looking potentially nasty with ice pellets and freezing rain in the forecast.
