It was show-and-tell at the annual Belleville City Council Breakfast hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. but, Mayor Neil Ellis did all the talking with a power-point presentation showing the 80-million dollars worth of infrastructure projects in the city during council’s 3-years in office. He says partnering with senior levels of government has been the key. Ellis says when you factor in grants from the feds and province, gas tax revenue, development fees and a widening tax base….they’ve been able to get 80-million dollars worth of infrastructure projects completed with a zero affect on the taxpayer.
